Summer’s just around the corner, which means the start of drone launch season! Good weather and bright colors make this time of the year perfect for video captures.
What can drone technology bring to the Real Estate Market? For a buyer or an investor, the opportunity to see multiple floors and orientations from different perspectives, can be a key factor when choosing a unit. This explains why developers are taking advantage of 360° visits in their go-to-market approach.
To ensure the effectiveness of this technology, drone captures are essentials. Here are the three steps to create a game-changing customer experience:
1 – Capturing reality
At first, aerial photography specialists will operate on site, with an authorization delivered by Transport Canada. The drone, geared with a Global Positioning System (GPS), is operated by an expert pilot. With the project’s architecture plans and specified flight itinerary, the operator can position the drone in its exact desired trajectory. For each projected floor, the aerialist/photographer will rotate the drone’s camera to fully capture its surroundings shooting with high-speed bursts. Each panorama requires a dozen pictures.
2 – Imaging
Then, a graphic designer takes ownership of these pictures for contrast and color calibration, along with the photomontage of thousands of photos taken with convincing scenic backgrounds. To fully appreciate the immersive experience, some disruptive elements, such as the presence of worksite cranes that could not have been avoided, need to be removed from the photo editing.
3 - Programming
Once all pictures are processed, the creative work gets underway. A programming mechanism, thoughtfully arranged to access and structure all panoramas, is set up. At the same time, navigation functions are integrated into the program, interactively linking app features. This will allow users to manipulate viewing angles within a given panorama.
Updated, relevant, and persuasive content to put future clients at ease is the reason why drone technology is essential in a 360° interactive experience. These three steps will result in a visualization tool that stands out and makes potential clients linger on the Website or in the sales office and could result in a greater increase in closing rates.
